Removing Feature bar on Category Page

I have placed a link to the various categories on page links using the plugin pages-links-to. So clicking on one of the header pages will direct you to one of the categories. I'd like to remove the feature bar for categories if possible. Or perhaps there is another way to link pages and categories. I've tried a number of plugins but to no avail. Is there perhaps a CSS code that will prevent the feature from appearing on categories? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, I'm unclear what you're referring to with "feature bar". Could you elaborate, and perhaps provide some screen shots of what you'd like to achieve?
