banners section

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'd like to use a banner in content area but it's the only area where banners are not allowed. (probably for banner is 'fullwidth' size) My banner would have img left + text right and the width size would be like the content area. I know I could 'customize' the width size of the banner but before doing that I'd like to know if there's another section which could fit my need without customizing. I tried either a box (but it tends to take the img size so it wil result small) or a callout (but its purpose is to generate a button/link for a following action) Thanks

Hi, You can try this however it is untested. Using your favourite FTP client, go to wp-content/themes/pagelines/sections and download the banners folder and then upload it to your child themes section folder or if you're using the PageLines Customisation plug-in, add the banners folder to wp-content/plugins/pagelines-sections/. Then open up the section.php file inside the banners folder (in your child themes folder) and replace the information text with this below. [code] Templates and if you click on the Content Area, the Banners section should be available. ***Please remember that is untested and I am not sure as to why the banners section is not available in the content area, it may well be down to styling but not sure.

Please search our forums, before posting!

Hi Danny, it works either by child or by plugin choice but I suggest by plugin as it keep the banner's default styling while it will loose it by child choice. Unfortunately it seems there's an issue as where banners section become available in content area there you'll loose it in all main areas like header morefooter and footer. If there's no more tweaks to try I don't know if such tweak will be worth as many users easely could need banners anywhere. thanks

Unfortunately you cannot add the banner section to the content area. I have previously submitted a feature request for this. Feel free to add your comments at http://www.pagelines.com/tracking/pagelinesframework/issues/34
