Pagelines-Jigoshop - Responsive

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a question about the responsiveness in Jigoshop for Pagelines. Not sure if it is Jigoshop question or other integration thing. If I have set that I want 4 products in a row and then decrease the window, then 1 product goes down a line. But the products after that doesn't come on this line, but they come one more line down (so it is first row 3 products, second row 1 products, third row 3 products). Do you know what to do about that? Thanks!

When a product's width in the shop is too wide to fit on a row in the content column, it has no where else to go but down another row when the browser's width is smaller (this is called "wrapping"). The elements used to display your products on the site need to be adjusted with CSS (instructions how to use Custom CSS here: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Custom_CSS) to prevent this wrapping from occurring. I did some searching and found this response in a topic about the issue you're having: http://stackoverflow.com/a/6116099. However, the Jigoshop products are displayed using a
list, so the approach may need to be adjusted.

Thanks. There is one odd thing. When I resize, one item jumps down (and gets is very own row). Then when I resize some more, then the items below the lonely item (from row 3) jumps up. So I just wonder why the rule that comes into action then can't work immediatly. Thanks! Original size: Row 1: 4 items Row 2: 4 items Row 3: 4 items etc Resizing a little: Row 1: 3 items Row 2: 1 item Row 3: 3 items etc. Resizing some more: Row 1: 2 items Row 2: 2 items Row 3: 2 items etc So, in the last example, when some more resixing has been done, items from row beneath jumps up. Thanks!

That's normal behavior in browser resizing. The items are just "seeking" a place to go when they can't fit anymore in their original place. You may need to make adjustments in the CSS in an attempt to modify the behavior, but I think in order for them to take effect, advanced customization may be required. In that case, it would be best to contact a Pro: http://pagelines.com/pros
