How can I make the comments section show on my blog page? I drag the comments box into the content area but it does not show up. I have checked the "allow" boxes in settings/discussions as well but still no comments section. I added a comments plugin to a separate page http://www.siftingpoint.com/contact/ and it shows up. I am usingPageLines Framework 2.1.6. Thank you for your help..

Could you please provide us with a screenshot of: 1. PageLines -> Templates -> Content Area -> Blog Post? 2. The PageLines Meta Settings at the bottom of the post editor for the post http://www.siftingpoint.com/2012/04/24/more-pointers-4-24-12/ to see the options for "hiding" certain elements?

Thanks for the response. I have the screenshots for what you requested but how do I insert here in this forum?

You can upload the screenshots to a site like http://imgur.com/ and then provide us with the links. :)

Both links are the same. Could you provide the other screenshot requested as well? Also, in the first screenshot, could you click the "Options" button next to Comments and ensure the box is NOT checked to hide by default?

Thanks for the screenshots. Now could you visit this post -> http://www.siftingpoint.com/2012/04/24/more-pointers-4-24-12/, edit it, and check on 2 things: 1. Make sure the box is checked to allow comments (think it's the discussion section) 2. Check the PageLines Meta Settings at the bottom to make sure "hide comments" isn't checked

All the boxes are checked in the settings/discussion settings. The "Hide content" is not checked. What do I do now? Thanks for your help.

Not in Setting -> Discussion. You need to edit the actual post I linked above. There will be a box under the post editor that says Discussion. Under that, this will be listed: Allow comments. Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page. Make sure "Allow comments" is checked. If you don't see the box, click "screen options" at the very top and check the "Discussions" box.

Wow!!!!! You did it!!!! The key was clicking on the screen options! You are awesome Jenny! Thank you for your patience and help. BTW: I LOVE your website Simple Mama. I think I am going to switch back to the ShareBar because of your post there. It is much cleaner than the plug-in I am using now does. Does Share Bar go along and is delivered with the email subscription as well?

You're very welcome. :) Don't forget to "accept" an answer if you consider this topic resolved. Thanks for the compliments on my website! What do you mean by "Does Share Bar go along and is delivered with the email subscription as well?" If you're asking if it gets sent out through email subscriptions like Feedburner, the answer to that is no, although you can set that up within the Feedburner options (it's cleaner that way too). Let me know if you meant something else. :)

Yes you are correct in your understanding of what I meant. The current one I use is sent out at the top and bottom of the post. I use Feedburner and they only have the option of some wimpy text at the bottom for a few of the social media only. Thanks again!!!!!!
