frankoschenko 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 Hello, I just "upgraded" from Station to StationPro and suddenly my nav-bar on www.feierabenddenker.org only shows the custom generated guestbook-page but no longer the blog entries. So when someone vistits my page and gies to the guestbook, he can??t come back to the blog. Has anyone encountered this problem before and/or has a solution? Thank you very much frankoschenko
wp101 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 Hey Frank, If you are using Wordpress 3, in Wordpress admin, try going to Appearance -> Menus. From there you can modify an existing menu or create a new one (you can create as many as you want and choose which one you want to show). This menu editor allows you to choose which categories to show so it should solve your problem.
roberterandolph 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 I have "two" home pages. Station Pro - Wordpress 3. How can I eliminate the default Wordpress home?
wp101 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 Hey Rob, Perhaps you could try this - In the wordpress admin section, under the Appearance tab, click on 'Menus'. Here you can create a new menu by clicking the "+" symboled tab near the top. Give the menu a title and insert the pages, categories and type the address of any other custom links that you want showing. Then in the tab entitled 'Theme Locations', for the 'primary navigation' dropdown, choose the newly created menu and hit save. Let me know how that works out for you. roberterandolph 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 Hi Talha, Under the "Theme Locations" is the following text... The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the ???Custom Menu??? widget to add any menus you create here to the theme??™s sidebar. roberterandolph 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 Hi Talha, Any other suggestions? Should I look for an older version of Wordpress. Looks like StationPro is not compatible with Wordpress 3.0?
a2z46s 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 Another thing to do may be to visually inspect the navigation menu and make certain that the link is properly installed. If you go to the page tab within the dashboard open and look at the pages listed if the home page is listed there check the link see if it is the same as on the edit page tab. It may read home or it may look something like this ?page_id=153. Make sure that this is correct or you will not have a Home page for lack of a proper link to it.
