gyoery 2 Report post Posted April 11, 2012 I am trying to show the featured image under the title. I know there have been some solutions, but what is the best way to achieve the desired effect. I tried having it next to the text, and then using css to make it full width, but it didn't work, since it resized the thumb, instead of making it full width. Help is appreciated. Jenny 33 Report post Posted April 11, 2012 Are you trying to do this on the blog page, on a single post page, or on a page? If the link above is the page in question, could you add a featured image to the post so we can try to manipulate it? ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up. gyoery 2 Report post Posted April 11, 2012 I'm trying it for the excerpt view in the blog roll, but it would be even nicer to have it generally for all. Check on this site: http://wp10987297.wp224.webpack.hosteurope.de/wordpress/category/events/ The images should be fullwidth and responsive.
Rob 547 Report post Posted April 11, 2012 Gyoery, you may not have noticed, you can place the thumbnail above, left, right or below the title in Dashboard > PageLines > Settings > Blogs And Posts in Feature Post Excerpt Mode and Clip Excerpt Mode. The "Left in Excerpt" or "Right in Excerpt" modes will produce the effect you seem to seek in this case. You might wish to read the docs at http://www.pagelines.com/wiki. gyoery 2 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 The effect I seek is having a fullwidth thumbnail kinda like a banner. Exactly like the one on top just under the header. Not a little box with text wraping around it, but full width... any help?
Jenny 33 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Hi @gyoery. I'm sorry but I really don't understand what you need. The URL you provided above doesn't have images on all posts and I don't see anything resembling a banner on your site. You said "exactly like the one on top just under the header", but I don't see what you are referring to. A screenshot with some directions would be fantastic. :) ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up.
