Multilingual support?

Recommended Posts

pviio

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to run/build multilingual (English and two other languages) websites on/with Platform Pro. If yes, where do I find information on this. If this is not possible, does upgrading to the Framework enable building a multilingual web page? Thanks for your response. PS. I am somewhat of a novice when it comes to WP, plugins, etc., so please keep your response simple enough for me to grasp, thanks. Paul

It's possible using a plugin such as these: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/qtranslate/ and http://wpml.org/. There are also other ones you can find here (but you need to make sure they're compatible with the version of WordPress you're using): http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/. For instructions on how to install and use plugins, please see this documentation: http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins If you upgrade to PageLines Framework, you'll be able to take advantage of the PageLines Translation and Localization Center, which allows PL users and developers to collaborate on translations: http://www.pagelines.com/translation-localization-center/

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Thank you very much for your kind help. I have now looked at the alternatives that you presented and I guess this resolves my question.
