BrandNav and Social

Recommended Posts

I am using the Ignite theme to develop my new website. In the theme, I like the "Branding" section for the Header, because it also includes the Social bar icons. However, I like the "BrandNav" section better for the navigation menu. The problem with "BrandNav" is that when I use it instead of "Branding", the Social bar icons disappear. Is there a way to keep the Social bar icons and use "BrandNav" instead of "Branding"?

Hi, If you view the code for the Branding section, you could simply copy the code for the social icons and then add this to your Brandnav section. If you do this, some CSS may be required to position the social icons correctly due to the position of the navigation.

@Danny, Sounds great. I am a newbie though. I can find the code, but can't see how to modify the header code in the PageLines theme. Care to share a step-by-step? Thanks,

Hi, You will need to create a child section of the Brandnav, simply download a fresh a copy of PageLines Framework and then upload the Brandnav section to either your child themes section folder or if you're using the PageLines Customisation plug-in, then upload the Brandnav section to wp-content/plugins/pagelines-sections/ Once you have completed this, look at the social icons code and then add it into the position you want in the Brandnav section.
