quipmaster 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2012 Dear Pagelines Community, You have been very helpful in the past. Therefore, I am asking for you assistance to set up a sign up for our newsletter in my homepage of www.virtuinstrategy.com. I have looked at past posts and the recommendation is to use a hook. I click on the wiki page on how to use a hook but that page has been deleted. I would like to write the code myself instead of a plugin. Don't want to have too many plugins slow down my site. Am i asking for too much hassle if I write the code myself? I have limited code experience and sometimes it seems like hieryglyphics to me. Someone please help. Thank you, Luis
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted March 22, 2012 Hi Luis, When you say a signup for your newsletter, what do you mean exactly. As you could simply do this with a HTML link ? Please search our forums, before posting!
quipmaster 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2012 Hi Danny, I think I see what you mean. If I had a constant contact or some other service, I could copy paste the HTML link. Am I understanding you correctly? Unfortunately, I don't have such a service because I don't want to have the bottom part of the newsletter be advertising for that service (constant contact, mail chimp, etc.). Is there a newsletter plugin that you know of or can recommend that will enable me to add a sign up link in my WP? I have come across one but it seems pricey http://tribulant.com/plugins/view/1/wordpress-newsletter-plugin. Any thoughts on this one? Best regards, Luis
