myriambahi 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2010 Hello, I am now struggling to do a sub menu. 1. I added a new tab in my menu (IP COLUMNS), choose "blog" template 2. Then I ve been on pages "add new". I chose as parent "blog" and create 4 sub pages. 3. Problem : none of the sub tab appeared on the website. I thought that it might be impossible to add sub tab to the Blog template, so started all over again, with the template Carousel. However I already use this template for the tab "OTHER RELEVANT LEGAL AREAS" --> When i chose the template all the sub tabs i created for "other relevant legal areas" appears in "ip columns"... So : 1. Can I create sub tabs with any template. If yes, how, since what I ve done does not work 2. Can I use the same template for several tabs, and if yes, how ? cmunns 16 Report post Posted June 30, 2010 If you're trying to create a sub-menu that drops down you'll have to drag and drop the pages you want (after creating them) in the "menus" area if you're using wp3.0 which I assume you are. and yes you can use the same template numerous times without problems. myriambahi 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2010 1. Yes I would like to make a pull down menu, yes, but what do you mean by drop the page in the menu. Where and how exactly I should do this ? 2. But I would like also to have a list of tabs on the rights (I assume it is called a "carousel page", exactly like in the tab "other relevant areas" on my website. The problem is that I might had modified the template carousel and now, each time i try to create a new carousel page, it comes with the tabs i already created for this specific page and I don't know how to get ride of it. My question is : how to make a pull down menu using the functions avaiable on Appearance > menus. There is nowhere a clear option to do so. The only thing I can do is create new tab for my main menu. I don't know how to create a sub menu ? Could you please explain me clearly the step to do so. ? Referring to what Cmunns said, i tried to figure out how to drag and drop my pages but, nothing drag and drop when I try. + I don t know the difference between "setting page hierarchy" and "creating a sub menu". cmunns 16 Report post Posted July 1, 2010 The drag and drop created a temporary hierarchy where as setting it when you create the page is a more permanent state but ultimately if you want it show in the menu as drop down you just need to do it the way you already learned.
