Recommended Posts

I've tried to fix this to no avail ??” even disabled all of the plugins. It's set to use the post features, and only one is showing, without any navigation.

What happens when you select "Post Category" in the "Feature Post Source" settings? Does the feature slider still malfunction?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

It works under the custom post type settings, but we need it to work under the feature post source setting. What would cause this? I checked to make sure the posts are set properly.

This may be obvious but the post category you selected is "featured posts". I assume you have more than one post in that category? (You can check this by visiting WP -> Posts -> Categories and look at the number in the "Posts" column next to the category "Featured Posts." The reason I ask is because I set up my installation to exactly match your screenshots and it works fine for me: http://jen.staff.pagelines.com/feature-page/

That's just it. We have several posts in that category, and only the one shows. No navigation, and no transitions. Even when I disable all plugins.

I hope you're not going to be upset with me, but we discovered recently that in PlatformPro the Posts Category mode doesn't work. We created a solution for this in PageLines Framework, but because of the architecture of PlatformPro and jQuery, we weren't able to create a solution yet for the older product. If you'd like to upgrade, please let us know. My sincerest apologies for this. Unfortunately, it was something out of our control when an update occurred in one of the external files the slider uses. Because the Framework adapted to a different jQuery version, we were able to build in more permanent flexibility so this won't happen in future updates.

Could be a markup issue, look at the feature post content, contains this:
@rangelone - yikes. I've already got the upgrade, but I have roughly 40 sites that we manage for our clients that are still on PlatformPro. I was hoping that we wouldn't have to go through the upgrade process on every site we have, but it's starting to look that way. @Simon - I'll look at it.

Hi Radoz, I'm sorry when I asked for your feature settings I was referring too Wordpress Admin Dashboard > Posts. When you select "Post Category" as the source, this adds a new set of options to posts. If you select a post and then scroll down, you should see Feature Setup Options, this is where you can add an image, the thumbnail navigation image amongst other settings. Have you configured these settings ?

:: sigh :: yes. Every time. That's what I'm saying. Everything is configured correctly, right down to the individual posts. It simply isn't showing properly on the main page.

After digging deeper, you most definitely have a HTML error. I recommend you look through all your Features and check any HTML code you may have added. I have provide the code of your site below, this is 100% incorrect, please check your Feature slider code.

Great! So please tell me ??” what is the 100% correct code? Since all of the features are from the posts themselves, how is it possible to add extra code to the features themselves? Sorry, Danny, but you're not helping. I need a solution, not a problem.

Hi Radoz, I have no idea, you're the one that has added the code to the Feature sliders. You will need to view all your Feature sliders and view the code for any
or
that are not needed. This is what would be causing the issue above. If you're unsure, can you please you http://pastie.org/ and add your features content to it. Please do a different pastie for each feature slider to make it easier for us.

Maybe this is a problem with the feature posts settings in PlatformPro? Someone else pointed out that there was an issue with it that was fixed in PageLines Framework. As for the features content, all we're doing is uploading an image in the appropriate block, using the "image only" setting and adding a link to the article. There is NO extra code being added. It looks like the problem is originating with Platform.

Hi Radoz, Can you provide screenshots like you did above for the Feature options you have added on the Post editor screen please. Once we have this information, we will be able to recreate the issue.

Hi Radoz, You have not added any image for the Feature footer Thumb (50px by 30px). Please fill out the settings i.e. upload an image to Feature Thumb (50px by 30px), add a navigation link etc... Then your footer images should be visible.

:: facepalm :: I'm using the feature names, not the images. They don't require an image. It's becoming quite apparent that Rangelone's response is more appropriate and accurate:
I hope you're not going to be upset with me, but we discovered recently that in PlatformPro the Posts Category mode doesn't work.
