Can someone help? I am using the latest iBlogPro4. The search box is appearing below the nav bar. This is a new install so I don't know what happened there. Can you give me a fix? Thanks, Phil

Absolutely. Can you provide a link so we can check it out?

in your _posts.php file delete the "fix" from this line: `

  • ` That does fix the problem despite it looking okay on my local server with the "fix" present.

Hi Adam, That line wasn't in _posts.php but I found it in _nav.php. Is that correct? I took out "fix" but didn't seem to resolve it. I then deleted the whole site and started from scratch to see if there was some other conflict. Still no luck :( Anything else I can do? Thanks, Phil

Hi Adam, Couldn't find that ref in _posts.php but was in _nav.php. Is that correct? Didn't seem to resolve it. I also did a complete new install of the whole site but still no luck.(was a new site so no probs) That didn't resolve it :( Any ideas? Let me know if you need my login details. Thanks, Phil

my mistake. It is in the _nav.php file, but it should have worked. I don't see it removed when take a look at your site did you add it back? This is the most recent version of iBlogPro4 correct?

In the editor it's not there. Just the word "fix" right? Yes I downloaded the latest as of yesterday.

Can you paste what you're seeing from the editor?

@Phil, when you upgrade your theme you will overwrite the changes you made to _nav.php so they'll need to be remade. Thanks, Bryan

EDIT: It has nothing to do with that code. You have to recreate and use the new built-in WordPress Menu system and the search bar will then be displayed in the proper location. So if you first install the theme and don't use the new WordPress Menu system you will see the search bar displaying below the nav. The fix is to use the WordPress Menu settings located under Appearance and it will place the search bar back in the nav where it should be.
