Dear Danny, http://hemanshu.in/econdse/ is where we are currently building our site which will be moved to its actual webspace once everything is in palce. In the page http://hemanshu.in/econdse/ames2012page/ you can see the secondary menu (I disabled the main menu in this page) which I like to in a black strip with white text. Regards Vinayan

Have you downloaded Firebug? You will be able to determine which CSS elements you need to change and preview those changes live on your site. For help with CSS, you can visit W3 Schools.

Hi Vinayan, First things first, I highly recommend you continue trying to learn Firebug or Google Chrome's Web Developer tools. As in doing so, you will make your life so much easier and you don't need to be an expert to this. The whole point of tools like Firebug and Chrome's dev tools is to allow novice users change CSS on the fly, to see the changes. I have provided the selectors below to get you started.
#secondnav .content-pad { CSS goes here } #secondnav li a { CSS goes here }
Dear Danny, The clue helped me to set the background for the secondary nav menu. I did try a lot with fire bug but could never figure out the variable to be modified, may be I still have to learn how to use firebug properly. Shall try that. Thank you very much. Vinayan
