Update to 2.1.3 failed

I am trying to update from 2.1 to 2.1.3, using the usual method, and it failed. Is there an audio update? Am I missing something?

How is it failing? What errors are produced?

I just tried it again, using the usual theme/install/upload procedure and received this message: Unpacking the package??¦ Installing the theme??¦ Destination folder already exists. /home2/zakrosco/public_html/postrealityshow/wp-content/themes/pagelines/ Theme install failed.

PS: I can't find any information on the Pagelines site for updating the theme, so I assumed you just use the usual procedure.

well, the error printed pretty much explains the problem. You are trying to use the wordpress uploader to upgrade a theme, this simply is not supported by wordpress. The uploader is only an installer, it will only install fresh themes to a new folder. If you are getting the upgrade notification in wp-admin, just click upgrade .

Ok, I understand your point, but where is the upgrade button?? That was my issue in the first place.

If you are logged in under pagelines/account the upload should show in wordpress like any other theme/plugin. Like this:

I saw that link which didn't lead anywhere except a screen that says "account info" with a button to "submit credentials" which doesn't take me anywhere. Sorry, this update procedure has me completely baffled.

If you add your username and password in there it should show you as logged in, the the updates will work.

There is obviously a step I am not seeing here. I have an account. I am logged in. So now what? I somehow have the impression your pulling my leg. I'm am feeling like a total idiot, I'm sure the magic solution to the update is staring me right in the face.

What does it say on the account page?

I finally figure out what the problem was. Until I was logged in on the account page, the "update now" button would only take me to the account page. Once I was logged in, the "update now" button takes you to the update page. This may seem obvious, but it's not.
