Feature/Plugin Request: Screen size specific sub-templates

What is the potential for having "sub-templates" that render depending on the users screen size without segmenting content via url? For Example: I can customize the blog layout template to add or subtract sections based on screen size. Could we possibly see future versions present the option to save template layout screen-size variations? Could a plugin be written to accomplish this?

I'm not certain what the potential would be since I'm not a developer, but I can include this in a weekly report of customer requests. Also, I haven't heard of or seen any plugin that can accomplish this.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hey there, Just wondering if this has seen any light? To clarify, I realize that by the use of @media queries I could use 'display: none" or I could redirect to device specific versions (pages) of the same content with sections disabled. The first is a waste because the same work will be done by the server even though the user won't get to see the result. :)
