change button color

hi there, can someone help me figure out the CSS to change the button color on the feature slide? http://cabvi.mpwclient.com I'd like it to be: #0274B2 -- the default gray makes it very hard to read. Here's a pic to help also to make sure it's clear what i need...http://imgur.com/sgQLi Also, it would be really helpful if this was able to be done on the admin panel...future upgrade?? Thanks!

Try this
#feature_slider .fcontent .plmore { background: #0274B2; }
Try with the !important rule
#feature_slider .fcontent .plmore { background: #0274B2 !important; }
Yup, did that too. So strange. Not sure why. I've found this with Pagelines that when I use firebug and make the change and it works, and then i copy the code and put it into the base theme style.css, it doesn't work. I'm not sure why that happens. :(

Try this in Dashboard > PageLines > Settings > Custom Code > CSS Rules:
#feature_slider .fcontent .plmore { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #0274B2; border: medium none; display: inline-block; margin: 0 5px; padding: 3px 8px; }
fantastic! it worked! however, i have one more question--what does this mean with regards to best practices? i thought i was supposed to use base theme style.css or the customize plug in for updates, etc. what effect does this have if i don't? AND more importantly, why did this work instead?? thanks!!
