Aweber Forms and Button Styling Removed/Stripped

Recommended Posts

bimijane

Hi Team, I have 3 Aweber Optin forms on my site and each one has lost its styling. I have researched the forum and found others have this problem and that various solutions were offered, including adding custom code and/or the removal of style entries regarding inputs in the common.css file. 1. I don't know what code to add to the Custom CSS area, if that is the solution. 2. I don't know where the common.css file is or what input entries to remove from it, if that is the solution. Two of the forms have their input fields stretching across the content area and all button styling removed, including colors, centering, etc: http://blenditandmendit.com/the-protocols/k-i-s-s/'>http://blenditandmendit.com/the-protocols/k-i-s-s/ http://blenditandmendit.com/the-protocols/7-day-support-protocol/'>http://blenditandmendit.com/the-protocols/7-day-support-protocol/ The other form, upper right sidebar, has lost its button styling which should have rounded corners and be centered: http://blenditandmendit.com/ Thank you for your help! Jane

Hi Jane, Do you have any minify plug-ins installed like W3 Total Cache? Is the Aweber form a plug-in ?

Hi Danny, I am not running any caching plugins. The Aweber forms are html generated code that I paste in the html section when I am creating a post in wordpress. Thank you! Jane
1. I don't know what code to add to the Custom CSS area, if that is the solution.
To come up with the CSS you need to add (to style the forms), you can use a CSS inspection tool like Firebug (http://getfirebug.com). A tutorial on how to use it for CSS customizations is here: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Custom_CSS#How_to_use_CSS_Inspection_Tools
2. I don't know where the common.css file is or what input entries to remove from it, if that is the solution.
It should be included in the plugin files.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi Catrina, Thank you - I have firebug. I highlighted the areas on the form and it gave me the option to copy the style elements, but I don't know how to change them or what to change them to to get the desired effect. The directions tell one to copy and paste without making any changes - what's the point of that? Also, is there no way to fix the form as a whole? Each part of it has to be firebugged and CSS-ed? That doesn't seem right. Is there a simple line of code to put in the CSS section so that forms display the way they are designed? Many thanks, Jane

Hi Jane. What you fix for one, should fix for all. If you don't know what to change, I recommend you check out W3 Schools. The search box at the top allows you to search for a CSS effect.
