How to make entire feature area clickable/linked

Recommended Posts

http://demo.pagelines.com/framework/features-template-example/ On the above demo page every feature's entire area is linked. How is this accomplished? I don't want a button linking to more info. I want the entire area to be active so that when someone click on it, they go to the post that is being featured. My feature post source is set to post category. (I saw someone reference this page in a similar discussion but surely this can be accomplished without getting into the code if it is shown on every example on the demo page: http://adammunns.com/create-a-fullwidth-clickable-feature-slider/)

On the feature image itself, you need to visit the option that says "Feature Text Position" and select the one that says "No Text - Links Entire BG." Then you add your image to the "Feature Background Image" and set your link below. Edited - added correct location to edit.

Thank you for your reply, but the wiki does not address my question, unless I missed something. I read it prior to posting my question and just looked it over again. EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see your first response above. So the only way to make the whole area clickable is to not have text included in the feature (unless the text is incorporated into the image)? Bummer. Thanks for your help.

Another method is to use Posts Category mode. This automatically makes the entire background linked and includes a title and excerpt. However, it uses the post title for the title and post excerpt, which must be very short (there is no control outside the post). The image is the feature image of the post, which is also used for the thumbnail. The link is automatically created from the post URL.
