dropdown text not showing up in ie8

Hi all, Been having an issue which remains unresolved. The navigation text in the dropdown menu for http://www.ridgecrossfit.com is not displaying. At first I thought it may be that the colours are not contrasting enough. After having a play and changing the box and text colours the problem doesn't go away. Can anyone shed any light on this? This only happens in ie8. In safari, firefox and ie6 the nav displays fine. Thanks in advance
