branding, hooks and customising

Recommended Posts

In PformPro I could use hooks and the child theme combination to create customisations beyond the scope of the PP. The YouTube video "using your first hook" was an example. Making changes here meant (if I remember correctly) your site would not lose these mods when you upgraded. From reading around in the forums, PLFramework also has hooks. I'm just not seeing where to make the changes, and if the changes will be "upgrade proof". Like the YouTube video I referenced, I want to float items in the branding space so I can keep the dynamic nature of the framework. Can someone point me in the right direction pls? Thanks! :-)

fixed it using the universal sidebar with text widget in the heading and hiding the branding.

That's a clever workaround wonderwoman. I too was wondering what happened to: "Each template area section has a list of hooks and CSS selectors that apply to that specific section. Just toggle the 'Advanced Setup' link to view the hooks, CSS selectors, and default visibility settings." Mentioned here: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Hooks
