ajackson+ 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 Hi - set up our site at "www.thejacksongroup.com" using WhiteHousePro. After developing using Safari browser and testing on Firefox and Chrome, just realized that when using Internet Explorer none of the Feature Media images on the front page are showing up. They are all .jpg files; can't figure out why they do not show up in IE. Any ideas?
scotmanfrontiernetnet 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 It could be a IE 8 issue. Are you running IE 8? Check this if you are... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283807
ajackson+ 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 Thanks, Scot. I am having issues with both IE 7 and IE 8. In IE 7, there are no images at all. In IE 8, there is a strange white text box where the image should be. In reading the link you posted, I think the text box may be an effect of the IE 8 specific issues, but that does not explain IE 7 not showing the images at all. Anyone else have any other thoughts? bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 I believe this might be a z-index problem. Please check back and hopefully a developer can help with this. Thanks, Bryan
ajackson+ 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 Thanks, Bryan. I'm hoping a developer can take a look at this as well and give me some feedback; I am about at my wit's end trying to figure this out.
ajackson+ 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2010 I think I solved my own issue. It seems that IE does not like the EMBED command for placing feature media images (even though the onscreen instructions for this theme say you can use the EMBED command), so I changed to IMG SRC and all is good.
