Making a full width page full width?

Recommended Posts

glamfish

I am trying very hard to get the content on the full width page to actually BE full width. Meaning, the same width as the menu bar. I have set the full width page to 800 px, and I want a video frame to fill the entire width, but Pagelines squeezes that video to something narrower, no matter what I do. Support said I needed to post this here, and that custom CSS was required. http://sandofilm.com/ Thanks for any help!

Hi Glam, Add this to Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Settings > Custom Code > CSS Rules:
.home .fullwidth #column-main .mcolumn-pad {padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;} .home .hentry-pad {padding: 0 0px 25px !important;}
Thanks for the swift response! It made the video frame cover the width of the page, but it is still black bars on top and bottom of the video, even though it is set to exactly 800px, just like the width of the page. (And honestly, not to complain but, I thought a simple thing like this was a drag and drop piece of cake, looking at all the fancy designs in the Showcase. But, support is very good, so it makes up for it!:) And, I'd like my blog page and categories list to also be full width, like this page: http://thereasonilove.com/blog/ Best, Harald

The black around the video isn't from what I can see theme/framework related and is down to your Vimeo settings or embed code. Not quite sure, as I don't use Vimeo. Drag and drop is pretty straight forward, however the content area has padding and this is the reason why your video was reduced in size. To make your Blog and Categories full width, simply follow the instructions below. 1. Login to your Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Meta. 2. Select Blog Page and click on the image that has no sidebar, then click save. 3. Select Category Page and do the same as step 2. You Blog and Category page are now full width.

Hi Danny, Ok then, but I want the posts, pages, blog, categories, everything to be without padding, like the first page. I got some other code that didn't work and made the first page look strange with the menu content and heading too close to each other. http://sandofilm.com/ Best, Harald
