Search Form Padding

Recommended Posts

tsalstrand

I need to correct the search bar on this site: http://www.freewebmastertools.org However, the search form is appearing too high up on the nav bar where I have it. What file do I need to go into to add padding to bring it down some? THanks, Steve

You would need to use the Custom Code Section under Pagelines > Settings > Custom Code. I used FireFox with the FireBug plugin a and I believe it's in this section:
.navigation_wrap .searchform { bottom: 2px; position: absolute; right: 3px; } .searchform { display: inline-block; margin: 3px 5px 3px 0; position: relative; width: 190px; }
I put that in the custom code area, but its not affecting it... maybe a different section? Btw, I'm using UberMenu to design the navigation (easier on me for embedding images, etc. +)

Sorry about that...I pasted the code directly from your site so it wouldn't change anything unless we play around with the numbers, etc. You will want to play around with the code especially the margain section. You can find more info on the shorthand at http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_margin.asp.

This was very helpful in fixing the search form problem I was having today with ubermenu. Looks great now. Thanks!
