layout with 30%/70% segmentation

Is there a way to accomplish a layout with a "segmentation" similar to this? http://alturl.com/2u63d Using CSS in PlatformPro? What i mean is just the segmentation (not the sliding functions!) - that means: a "left part" which spans 30% of the page width and a right part that spans 70% of the page width. ?

In PlatformPro, go to Dashboard > PlatformPro > Layout Editor. Select the one with one sidebar left and repeat the selection below it. Further down, you will see a graphic, sliding layout. You'll need to use a calculator but for round numbers, we'll use 1000px as the total width. Then the left sidebar will need to be 300px wide with the main content area set to 700. Remember that the actual view will differ as there's padding around both sections.

Thanks, but within PlatformPro 1.5.3 i can't find "sliding layout" in "Layout Editor". But theres is "Configure Layout Dimensions" interface to choose the width of header, sidebar, main content, footer. i just can't see how to make a fluid segmentation in 30% / 70%. Here i only can choose the width of page, sidebar and main content.

yes, but just "fluid backgrounds" like in the example page.

The area on the left appears to have fixed content and on the right it has scrolling content. Is that also what you want to achieve?

what i like most on this example is the ("almost golden ratio") separation! no matter what display resolution - there is always a 30% by 70% segmentation. the scrolling on both sides -left and right - of content would be ok. in my opinion, that would be a big goal for pagelines. because what you see all over the place is centered layouts...

You'd need to re-design the layout in order to achieve that effect, which would require customization that goes beyond the scope of this forum.
