how do i set my 1-column pages to be 864 pixels wide, but my site is 960?

i'd like to have a different width for pages where i only have one column. how do i do that? best, dainis

i just tried this .fullwidth { width: 684px; } but it's left aligned not centered

ok this works: .fullwidth { width: 684px; margin: 0 auto; } are there easier ways to do this? basically, it makes a lot of sense for me to have varying page widths for different types of squeeze pages and sales pages.

Dainis, you must love this forum. You asked all your own questions and answered them too. I'm going to thank you for that. I think the solution you came up with is probably the best. I am not a CSS pro, so my guess is going to be you did the best possible. Perhaps one of my colleagues will look at this Monday but so far you are doing it very well.

hi rangelone -- you have this ultra-cool pattern of writing "i'm not very good at X" and leading posters directly to appropriate solutions LOL :-) this time i played solo though search for answer post search for answer post new info try something doesn't work post try something else doesn't work search for new info post find solution post well -- i mean we gotta get things done! process-shortening informative interruptions to the above self-cycle more than welcome in the future :-)
