ksnyde 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2012 I'm migrating to PageLines Framework and for some reason when I go to my blog page it is incredibly messed up (the other pages have subtle styling issues only). When I say "messed up" let me be more specific ... the header loads fine but directly under the main nav is a batch of badly formatted content that USED to be my footer content on PlatformPro. After that crazy hiccup it goes back to normal and displays the content, sidebar, and footer correctly after that. Please help, I'm driving myself crazy trying to find where or how that old footer content is getting inserted into the top of my blog page.
Rob 547 Report post Posted January 27, 2012 One of the things that happens during a migration from PlatformPro to PageLines Framework commonly is the movement of widgets from one sidebar to another. The solution is easy and painless. Just go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and look through each sidebar on the right and make sure that the widgets in them are exactly where they belong. If they are not, just drag and drop them up and down between sidebars. Don't drag them back to the widget area or you will lose settings or content. Moving them from one sidebar to another will preserve settings and content. It's a snap to drag something from the Morefoot to the Footer or from the Tertiary Sidebar to the Primary. I use lots of sidebar widgets on my site and when I did the conversion it took me about 2 minutes or less to move things exactly where they belong. ksnyde 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2012 Thanks. The migration must have moved my footer content into the "universal sidebar".
