Footer Spreading To Full Width - iBlog Pro 3

Recommended Posts

Whenever I have the default sidebar on a page it takes the footer and spreads it accross the entire bottom of the page as opposed to limiting it to the width of the blog.

I'm having the same problem with right-column sidebar widgets on my main blog page defaulting to the bottom of the page.

Sorry that's happening. Do you think you can supply links so that I can take a look?

Hey guys, This is going to be a markup issue with the content in your pages, posts or even plugins. What happens is an extra or missing 'div' closing tag can make things think they should show up where they shouldn't. I recommend using Firebug for Firefox to help identify the issue. Hopefully Jeff will be able to take closer look for you guys and help you nail it quick :)

I found the plugin that was causing my theme to be displayed wrong. It took forever to find. Anyway, I've fixed the problem. Thanks for the help though.

I'm having the same problem with using "Billboard". What have you done to fix this problem?

It seems that if I provide a header for the widget, the problem is solved...

With a markup problems; Its usually a problem on the 'content' side. This means that when you're adding content to pages/posts/widgets/plugins etc.. you may have left an open `

`,`

I have tried all of the above and still can not get the footer to work correctly. My site is: http://jasonhobbsllc.com I turned off all the plugins, checked my widgets for open tags, and installed and tried to use Fire Bug, still nothing. Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

The problem for me disappeared when I switched to the Ad-Rotate Plugin. When I tried wp125 or max banner ads footer did not format. when I took those widgets out it worked fine.
