scootdc 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 Alright PageLines Friends. I've got a client looking to create a web presence similar to a competitor's site and need to know if this is even possible with Pagelines. I'm looking to tackle this myself but may need to hire some help if the task proves too daunting. The competitor's site is located at: http://www.renttherunway.com (you may need to register to view the entire site...sorry) The major site functionality that my client wants to integrate is the Shopping Cart on the Dresses, Accessories, Occasions and Weddings pages. It offers a series of options in the sidebar and searches for particular items based on that criteria. I'm not sure if this can be implemented with a plug-in or if it needs to be designed from scratch (hopefully the former). They also need to create a wishlist or favorites area so customers can store their favs for later review before purchasing. Finally, the client really likes the layout and feel of this site and I wondering how much CSS formatting this would take to emulate using PageLines. As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated and, who know, this may even turn into a job for you if you take the time to answer. Thanks in Advance, Barry. Rob 547 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 Barry, You should start by looking at http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins where you will find most of what you're looking. I don't think it's a good idea though, to open your site with a mandated login. Most retailers don't but do other things to entice people to register with bargains or benefits for registered members. I suggest s2Member for that one. As for styling it, let's get you started and address each issue as they come up. PageLines.com is heavily customized by our founder. scootdc 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 Thanks Robert. I'm currently doing the research and looked at Cart 66. Does anyone know if this allows reviews/testimonials and wishlists?
Rob 547 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 I'm not familiar with it but then again I haven't seen any actual complaints about it either. Let's hope you're not the first. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
