Feature Slider and Shadowbox

Recommended Posts

I'm attempting to use a feature slider as a launcher for an html link that's to be brought up in a shadowbox. I've used the code before in a page/post and it's worked as it's supposed to. However, when using the same code in one of my feature sliders, clicking the slide will open the html page in a new window. Any solutions to utilizing the shadowbox js from the feature slider? The following is the code I have in the Feature Media HTML area??¦

[/code]

What wp or jquery plugin are you using for the shadowbox?

I was using the Shadowbox JS plugin (no longer available in the plug-ins search, but it's been around for a while). I managed to solve this by using a Banner element in place of the Feature element which is fine as the main image there doesn't rotate to others, but it'd be good to know if the features can do this or not and how.

Well, others before have asked about features opening a lightbox or shadowbox and to my experience, it's not possible, but that doesn't mean to say one of our pros might give you the same answer I am. Perhaps they could help you more than the forums could. Email your request and reference this to hello@pagelines.com

I'd like to bring up a window containing a YouTube video (using Shadowbox JS or something similar) in response to clicking on a Feature element without having to switch to the Banner element. Specifically, when someone clicks on the image at http://technicallysimple.com I want to play the promo video at http://youtu.be/dYgKUcwixPM in a popup window. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this beyond what has already been proposed?
