image across full page area

Hi, Im trying to add an image with an absolute position statement and i would like the image to stretch across the whole page and not just the page content area. Is there a way to do this only on a certain page? I've tried adding the HTML on the page editor but the image gets shrunk to only the content area and margins are shown left and right. Thanks Marcel

Hi Marcel, If you add the image to the page editor it will be restricted to the width of the content area I think. Is is possible for you to provide a link to the page in question please.

Hi Danny, This is the link to my site.... http://www.fxwebdesignperth.com.au/ I would like the "What we do section" stretched all the way across the screen under the 9 icons and text. I had a full length background but i hit the 2 million pixel limit making the background distort on the iPad. I want to use two separate images to make the site look normal on the iPad. Thanks Marcel

Never mind, worked it out :) I Just removed the background out of the settings and added the following code for my two cascaded background images, works a treat on iPad too.
.home #page { background: #c7cecf url(http://www.fxwebdesignperth.com.au/Images/BackGND8sm.jpg) no-repeat 50% 0%; } .home #page-main { background: url(http://www.fxwebdesignperth.com.au/Images/WhatweDOBKG.jpg) no-repeat 50% 1000px; }
