Custom Logo is low quality

For some reason when I upload my custom logo it looks low quality on my site. It's a .png file and looks great until its on my site. Is the system compressing the image? Any idea how I can fix this?

No it does nothing to the image.

Do you have a link for us that shows the change in quality. As Simon says, the image in not altered in any way by the framework. There is a possibility that there are maximum dimensions defined for an image, so it could be that the image is scaled down (shown smaller than the logo actually is). That can cause is to render with less quality (depends on the browser). Be sure your .png file is uploaded at 100% of its visible dimensions. So also in this case, bigger is not better.

If you're using a .png image, make sure it's in png-24 format as png-8 isn't very pretty on the web.
