Extend feature width to infinite

Recommended Posts

audaciouscreate

Hi, I'd like to extend the feature background beyond the page borders just like I have with the highlight section on my home page. I want to replace the highlight with the more flexible feature but want the look of the highlight section. I hope that makes sense. site: http://audaciouscreative.co.uk designed in Pagelines Framework Any help on this will be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Stu

Stu, Our slider doesn't go beyond the maximum width of the framework. Obviously, for the highlight you were able to integrate some CSS to style the background so the highlight blends in. Quite well done, as is the whole site, btw. Unfortunately, today WordPress is down for SOPA protest so I cannot access the plugin I'm thinking about which is listed here: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/13318/full-width-feature-slider/p1 It's a plugin you can use to replace ours. There are several such plugins now. Make sure it's compatible to the current WP version.

Thanks very much for the reply and the compliments. Much appreciated. However, I think I may have phrased my issue badly. Here is a Pagelines site that I've come across that has the extended background on the feature http://www.create180design.com/ and what I want to do is emulate this element. I know the actual feature can't go beyond the full width of my site (1020px in this case) and I don't want it to. It's just the wrapper, container or texture (or whatever it is called) that I want to be able to colour green (#84BD00) just like I have with the Highlight area so that it extends to the very edges of the browser window. I hope the example I have given helps makes sense of my badly worded question. Thanks again for the compliment and I look forward to hearing if there is a solution soon. Cheers, Stu

It really is that simple? Thank you so much - I've been trying out all sorts of complicated CSS work arounds and this is the one that does it. Thank you.
