Carousel with dynamic content and text info under each image?

Is is possible to pull images and text into the carousel from an external link that feeds it info? This would be from a 3rd party javascript that we pay for. This page has something working in joomla: http://www.chappaqualibrary.org/ we don't need the slider bar at the bottom. If this can't be done with the built in carousel do you have recommendations for a plugin that can be used. Thanks

Your best bet is to find a current, WP 3.3.1 compatible carousel or slider via http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins. We don't actually have any knowledge of a specific plugin that would match your criteria but that doesn't mean it is non-existent. Just that we don't know.

Thanks rangelone, I've been working on finding one in between everything else for a few weeks but it looks like we're gonna have to figure out how to either make a wp plugin or a pagelines plugin ourselves.
