Widget problems...

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to use a great tool for trip-planning, "ResRobot", a "trip-robot" for finding the best way to travel from A to B. On the page I'm working on at http://www.akersjon.com I have pasted the code in a content sidebar, the "robot" works but the yellow button gets misplaced. The developer says it's because of the common.css and this: input { padding: 5px; } He says it has to be overridden manually. Can I do this by adding code in Settings->Custom Code (the only place I dare to change!!!)? If so, what do I add? Also, being a rookie, I've seem to have messed something up with my other widgets - I have put code in my primary sidebar and full width sidebar to create an iframe for a booking-system. Maybe this is causing problems, the online booking works but it seems like the other widgets doesn't like it - the whole text in the twitterbar turns out as a link. The same thing happens in the last widget in the primary sidebar, the title changes to a link, same for the title in the full width sidebar-title beneath the content sidebar. I have set the blogpage as landingpage and there the whole twittertext gets linked, but on a page (still with the booking-widget) it doesn't get linked: pageline-support-8.pnghttp://akersjon.com/ pageline-support-9.pnghttp://akersjon.com/hotell-restaurang-fjallgarden/ I've searched over and over for a solution, found discussions about "bleeding" and so on, but I still can't figure it out so I would really appreciate if someone could give me a hint... Thanks, Pernilla

Here's how you can target that specific input and remove the padding:
#text-16 input { padding: 0; }
If you get Chrome you can use the Inspector to view the html and css of all your page elements, which will help in identifying these issues. The second problem is probably due to an unclosed html tag somewhere on the page. Check your validation: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://akersjon.com/ You will want to check all your content that appears on that page for any markup errors.
