Customizing CSS inheritance

Recommended Posts

minasm

Hey, On a page trying to add a specific alignment. So created a table, using

vertical-align:top; text-align:left;
but seems text inherits from style.css
.hentry table td, #comments table td {
	vertical-align:top; text-align:left;
	}

For the table I created I dont want it to use the inheritance. I know this is not about a theme function but still someone might aid me:)

Anyone? :( I am adding

and applying it to table;
Lamine
Nothing changes, text is still centered:( But Bold applies... I also tried to add it to style.css but while checking it with firebug, seems it neglects it:( Even when I remove font-weight: bold; I dont see .mytype on Firebug, there is only the style below.
.hentry table td, #comments table td { padding: 0.35em 0.6em; text-align: center; }
What product are you using, and can you post a link to the site? Whatever alignment you're doing, unless its an actual table of data, would probably be better using floats and/or margins. If you could give an example of what you're trying to achieve we could help you in that department.

Kastelic thank you for your answer. I was in a hurry and found a plugin offer in the forum: WP Table Reloded. It worked like a charm
