PageLines for Dummies?

Recommended Posts

bethzimmerman

I am using PageLines Framework but also have access to PlatformPro? Which is better for some one who really doesn't know anything about coding, etc. but likes to play with site design variations. At this point I am using only the blog features ... not a full website. Also I look at the list of downloads available and get very confused. What is Vanilla Integration? And do I need it? Same for MediaWiki Integration. I think I need a PageLines for Dummies book!

There is, unfortunately, no book, but we do have some great docs located at http://www.pagelines.com/wiki You do not need Vanilla Integration unless you are in need of a forum like this one you're reading (which is Vanilla) Similarly, you don't need the MediaWiki unless you plan to create a catalog or wiki of media such as images, etc. Personally, I think PageLines Framework offers more options than anything else for the experienced or inexperienced user to achieve goals. Those more experienced with customizing can do miraculous things with PageLines and many have. Did you see our Showcase? http://www.pagelines.com/showcase/
