Which page does our site URL automatically land on? How do we set that?

I am just trying to make the homepage, but I can seem to figure out how to set any page as a home page. What page automatically comes up when someone enters our URL?

That option is set in Wordpress, not the theme. Just visit Wordpress -> Settings -> General.
