indakno 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 Is there a way to have 2 different layouts on the same page? I want the sidebars on each side and the top then all on one side at the bottom. Or a combination of them all. Is that possible?
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 Hi Indakno, I'm sorry but I don't fully understand, would it be possible for you to check my concept image and tell me if that is what you meant. http://i.imgur.com/OECoB.jpg Please search our forums, before posting! indakno 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 It looks like one big layout. If you go to www.indakno.com/magazine, you will see that in the content area, I have a feature and the primary sidebar. I was wondering if I could have a 2 column side bar and a one column one sidebar on the same page.
indakno 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 Actually, it's working, but on the very bottom of the page. I like what it is doing, but I need it to do that for the rest of the page, not the bottom. But everything above that.
catrina 103 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 To clarify: You want to duplicate what's happening on the bottom of the page at the top of the page? Please read the docs before posting. indakno 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 I want to be able to have different layouts on the same page. For example, I want to have sidebars on each side of the content area at the top and maybe 2 sidebars on the right at the bottom.
Rob 547 Report post Posted January 22, 2012 That layout you're suggesting really isn't practical or doable, unfortunately. The system allows for two sidebars (can be two on one side or one on each side. You can use a full width sidebar on top and a universal width on bottom but you can't have two additional sidebars on the right at bottom. indakno 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2012 Is there a way or a plugin that allows you to have specific sidebars for specific pages?
Rob 547 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 Widget Logic lets you apply Widgets to specific pages, posts, categories, search results, 404 pages etc. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ and you will need the conditional tags http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags to set where the widgets appear.
