klikwebdesign 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 I ordered the 2.0 pre-order way back when it was offered. I did receive an email stating I should login to my launchpad to grab my copy. I logged into my launchpad. I downloaded "2.0 Pre-Order + PlatformPro Dev". I installed it. Then, I downloaded PlatformPro Base, installed it and activated it. When I go to my Admin panel in Wordpress, I see towards middle on left side PlatformPro similar to how the previous version was. This is different then the look I see at http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/images/9/9f/Pagelines_sections_plugin.png Also, when I go into Appearance - Themes, I see Platform 1.5.3 even though I downloaded and installed 2.0 as I stated above. Does this mean I have the incorrect version uploaded to my launchpad? I need the latest 2.0 version.
catrina 103 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 You need to have PageLines 2.0 Framework activated, not PlatformBase. Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. Designer | Catrina Dulay Founder | Catrina and Mouse
klikwebdesign 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 Thank you for your help Catrina. That clarifies it for me. It turns out there was a "PageLines Framework 2.0 dev" download in the middle of the page somewhere down in between 16 downloads. The launchpad is a mess. That, coupled with the confusion caused by branding between Pagelines and Platform makes it frustrating. I am sure I'm not the only one. Pagelines (marketing dept. if they have one) needs to put the geek hat to the side every now and then and get in touch with the outside world. It would be better for the future of Pagelines in my opinion. Pagelines could have a bright future and I hope it does. Food for thought.
