Framework 2.0 + iBlogPro 5 Features

Recommended Posts

Hi people, I just upgraded from iBlogPro4 to Framework2.0 + iBlogPro5. I've tried to upgrade my site to the new framework and theme. I'm being mostly successful but am stuck on the Feature section. Let me explain my problem. iBlogPro 4 had a Feature section that allowed you to define a title and subtitle with the "fsub" class. The text was also fairly wide. In iBlogPro 5, it seems quite different: - I can't find a way to define a title and subtitle. - The text is much too close to the left border. - The link text is white and is very hard to read on the white backgrounds. That sounds like a bug to me. I can't find a way to fix these problems except from modifying CSS/HTML, and I'm not too good at that. Can someone help me? Here are some screenshots of my website before and after so you can see what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7272802/Sparrow/e1007fd81c8b13400c536f6c2426b4de/Website_Before.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7272802/Sparrow/ac70d88d31aaf98463d3db6c8540307f/Website_After.png

You might be right.. I'll look at some of these issues, and put out an update to iBP5 soon. The subtitle functionality deserves another look, and can be re-added, if its a valuable feature.

It looks like you have a title and subtitle but I could definitely be wrong. Maybe you figured out an alternate way of showing them. Please provide an example of the text that is too close to the border and approximately how far you want it moved over. I also don't see any white links so let me know where to find those as well.

Hi simple_mama, - I have a title and subtitle, but they do not have the same style as in the previous iBlogPro theme. See linked screenshots. - For the example of the text that is too close to the border, check the screenshots. It's more than that thought, the text is not wide enough too. In general, it looks much less "balanced" than on the previous theme. - I had removed the More link that was white temporarily, but I added it back in. You can check it out on the live website. Cheers,

Could this be the result of changes in Typography, rather than iBlogPro5? Perhaps the font you were using previously was different and not integrated into PageLines Framework so that it's active for iBlogPro5? Just some thoughts...

rangelone, I've checked the Typography settings and it's not responsible for any of my 3 concerns.

It looks like you don't have anything for the fheading (the title) which is fine. You can just move things around and style with CSS. Try using the following code in custom code -> custom CSS (I've tried to make it as close to the previous as I can):
#feature_slider .fcontent { width: 50% !important; } #feature_slider .fmedia { width: 50% !important; } #feature_slider .fcontent .dcol-pad { padding: 40px 0 0 60px !important; } #feature_slider .fexcerpt .fsub { font-weight: normal !important; text-align: center !important; } #feature_slider .fexcerpt h1 img { margin-left: 12% !important; } #feature_slider .fcontent a, #feature_slider .fcontent a:hover { color: #0088CC !important; text-shadow: 0 0 0 !important; }
Thanks a lot simple_mama, This works as a nice fix! I also changed the color of fsub. I "thanked" you accepted the answer, but I hope that the guys at PageLines spend some time to make iBlogPro5 a bit more complete. It seems to me like it was a bit rushed out.
