Share and Follow Plug In in Features

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I am building this website: www.arewethereyet.de and I have just installed the Share and Follow Plugin (http://share-and-follow.com/wordpress-plugin/) However as you can see on the starting page in the feature, the icons even come up in the features and I don't know how to turn it off. In share and follow you can exclude page-ids (which I did for id=56), but which page-id does the starting page have? Or could I include a CSS code snipped that would keep the Plugin from putting the icons in the features? Any suggestions are much appreciated. Also: I did try to search the forum before I posted this but for some reason the search didn't work at all...

okay I finally found this post: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/10895/how-to-not-to-display-a-share-button-in-box/p1 but I don't know how to identify the class. I only was able to indetify the name of the features... but that is different.

Before you get too deeply into this, you should look at that plugin's WordPress page which indicates that people have said the plugin is broken and that even its latest version is only compatible to WP 3.1.4 and we're on WP 3.3. Outdated plugins which are not supported have a habit of making a mess of websites so adding them is rather pointless. There are many others which do the same thing and are totally up to date and routinely updated. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/share-and-follow/

thanks for the tip! I checked a few other plugins but they aren't as nice. Any suggestions how I can get rid of the icons in the feature section?

Hi Miss, The problem with all these types of plug-ins is that there relatively stupid and can not tell the difference between post types. However, you can add this to CSS Rules located in Custom CSS:
#feature .shareinpost, #boxes .shareinpost { display: none; }
Hi Miss, To remove them from soapboxes, please replace the code I gave you above with this below:
#feature .shareinpost, #boxes .shareinpost, #soapbox .shareinpost { display: none; }
