Drop Down Menu

We would like to create a separate drop down menu in the location where the Search Bar is in the header (with a border like the search bar). Can I get some advice on how to do this? Site: http://2dineforhouston.com/ Thanks!

Are you talking about an html select field? If so, you can insert one using a hook. The hook you probably want to use is brandnav_after_nav. To use hooks you need to activate the pagelines customize plugin (can be found in the Store). Check this page: http://www.pagelines.com/docs/base-child-theme under Using Hooks for instructions on how to do it.

I'm unsure why you rejected kastelic's answer. The drop down list type you mention is in essence an HTML select field. To place it on the navigation menu line in place of the search field, you would have to add a hook into functions.php. If you have PlatformPro, then you'd do so in the child theme, platformbase. If you're using Pagelines Framework 2.0, then it goes in functions.php located in the PageLines Customize plugin. For the latter, the documentation is located here: pagelines.com/wiki/

Thanks guys! I tried to go back and accept kastelic's answer and it wouldn't let me.
