briane 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 I am experiencing some confusion configuring my sidebars and have checked forum and docs but can't resolve. I selected "FLOW" and also allowed default sidebars to show for the time being. I did not place any widgets in the sidebar area. However, my flickr widget still appears (that's fine) and my advertisements still appear (also fine) even though I didn't add either of this widgets to my sidebar. If I select "don't show sidebar if widgts empty" then the flickr and ads go away (makes sense because I didn't place them anywhere in the first place...) If I choose "Accordian" or "Drag and Drop" and then add the flickr widget, the flickr images disappear leaving only the title. I can hover over the whote space and see the image locations in my status bar but he images do not appear. The only way I can see the flickr widget properly is to use "FLOW" and NOT add the widget to the sidebar. I must be missing something simple but alas I am confused... cmunns 16 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 If the image locations of the flickr images show up but the images themselves are not that seems strange, especially when they work in the default_sidebar (which is what you see when no widgets are set, this is done for the demo and carries over when you purchase the theme) Can you provide a link and activate the sidebars in question with the flickr widget. briane 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 Sure. You will see a screen shot (link below) and the URL is CenterPoint Church Right now I have it set for the main sidebar. The flickr problem is right below the ad widget. Thanks very much.
cmunns 16 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 The image source for your photos looks like this: `%image_http://174.120.243.251/~briane/wp-admin/admin.php?page=pagelines_featuresquare%` There is some markup in the flickrRSS settings that appears to be incorrect. briane 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 Thanks, I'll take a closer look. Why do you you suppose it works for the template "default" that is set when I installed the template, any idea?
briane 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 I took another look at the code you pointed out. I don't recall actually placing it in the settings. DO you think it was part of the template install? Am I supposed ti code something else there, remove the entire thing and rely only on the user ID that I configured in the settings? Thanks.
briane 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 I revisited the code a third time and then researched on the forum for a previous post you made on a related topic and found the coding error. I fixed it and the images now show up. Thanks for helping!
