Do I understand correctly that the Vanilla Package only takes care of the styling of the vanilla pages, and not the integration with wordpress? (i.e. same user base) Regards, Jackey

Yes that is correct, Vanilla actually provide a bridge plugin you can find it here: http://vanillaforums.org/addon/proxyconnect-plugin

O.K. that plugin did not work for me at all... Without this integration it is a no go. Thanks for clearing that up!

Until bbPress is updated to work with PageLines 2.0, I expect you may find some issues with styling and appearance. We have no idea when that will happen as it is up to their developers to prioritize their schedule for development. We look forward to seeing it too, as we do also with BuddyPress. I've successfully integrated Vanilla. What kind of problems did you have with the proxy plugin?

It installs and tests in vanilla with SUCCES, but it locks me out of vanilla, and makes it impossible to login wordpress.

How do you mean when you say it locks you out of vanilla and wordpress - What happens?

Logging into wordpress does not work anymore... It lets me do a login procedure, but it does not log me in. I have to manally remove the plugin from wordpress, to gain access to wordpress again.

Then I might have a solution - Increase the available memory for your php scripts. The things you describe happened to me as well. It's usually due to lack of memory - What does your error logs say?

Look at this thread: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/15809/my-adventures-together-with-vanilla-and-pagelines-2.0-or-what-to-do-if-your-website-turns-blank.#Item_5

Sounds like something else then, are you running any plugins inside vanilla that might cause the error messages (i.e are the plugins vanilla 2.0 plugs) and are you using vanilla 2.0?

Fresh install... No extra plugins installed (yet). Vanilla looks good, no problems there. Get no error messages at all.

Ehmmm... ok as I have two separate websites, and can't log into vanilla anymore, but that is obvious because vanillas login redirects me to the wordpress login. I can gain access to vanilla by logging into http://golfclub-stippelberg.nl/vanilla/entry/password

Made a little progress... Installed "root Cookie" in wordpress. Now I'm still able to log into wordpress when Vanilla Proxyconnect is activated. It still does not log any user into vanilla. Verification tests in vanilla still give SUCCESFULL, as they did before. However no new users get created. Now when I log into vanilla, I get redirected to the wordpress login, return to vanilla.... that's it. Logged into WordPress not logged into Vanilla, and no new user made. I end on the page http://golfclub-stippelberg.nl/vanilla/entry/handshake/proxy (i.e. login screen vanilla)

O.K. gave up on this... Vanilla forum comment:
Okay listen. It looks like you have something going wrong and it's really beyond the scope of community support to solve it.
Gave it a try... hey... even managed to acquire 2 forum badges with the discussion ;) Good luck with Vanilla!
