Using Filter to add tags under Metabar

Recommended Posts

jane_l

I would like to add the tag listing under the metabar but I'm not certain how to do this. I looked for "hooks" in the wiki and it says that there is a full listing in Advanced Setup under Template section but in Templates I do not see an advanced setup option. I suspect it is something like

add_filter('pagelines_post_metabar', 'customize_metabar');

	function customize_metabar($metabar){

	?>
	---something---
	<?php
	}

Have you tried checking out the Action Map plugin from the store?

Yes, there is no metabar hook. Screen-Shot-2011-12-11-at-12.02.13-AM.png loop_start the_post REVIEW: Definitely Not Mr. Darcy By Karen Doornebos By Jayne On December 10, 2011 ?· 6 Comments ?· In C Reviews [Edit] pagelines_loop_before_post_content

You can use pagelines_loop_before_post_content to place tags underneath the metabar and then CSS can be used to move them up so that they're closer to the metabar.

Okay, I'll try that. I'm not sure where to put the span class though for css modification:

add_action('pagelines_loop_before_post_content','another_tag_line');

	function another_tag_line () {

	?>

	the_tags(__('Tagged with: ', 'pagelines'),' • ','
');

	<?php }

Also, when I used the above code, this is what appears. I know that there must be a simple fix for this. Screen-Shot-2011-12-11-at-4.28.02-PM.png

They took it out? Is that what you are saying? I've gotten to this point, but I can't get the css right. It is affecting the metabar:

add_action('pagelines_loop_before_post_content','another_tag_line');

	function another_tag_line () {?>

	<?php the_tags(__('
Tagged with: ', 'pagelines'),' • ',''); ?>

	<?php }[/code]

If you provide a link to your site with the hook in place, we can assist with CSS.

We didnt take it out, it is a filter, not a hook. BTW tags are added with a shortcode ;)WpiRP.png

@simon Can you give an example on how to create a new shortcode for post views? This is the code for post views plugin

<?php if(function_exists('the_views')) { the_views(); } ?>

thanks
