Twitter widget - Frameworks

Recommended Posts

I am using Frameworks 2.0. All plugins are off. I copied and pasted the twitter widget profile script from Twitter https://twitter.com/about/resources and pasted it into a text widget in the morefoot middle area. Then a weird thing happened. And it is very hard to describe. I refreshed the page and the page loaded and then immediately cleared and left only a part of the twitter profile on the page. So, I pasted the code into the primary sidebar and it loaded fine. is this a possible bug in the morefoot section?

Did you try deactivating your other plugins to see if there could be any plugin conflicts?

yes. all plug ins were off. it only does this in the morefoot section. i tested in all the other sidebar widget sections and it is fine. it is so strange. it is like a script keeps playing and clears the screen (but leaves the top and bottom part of the twitter widget visible (it is very difficult to explain in words what it is doing).

I was able to reproduce the problem and it appears that the code uses the same name for a variable as Pagelines does, causing a conflict. I did try the Wordpress twitter widget plugin and it worked fine in the morefoot area so this might be a better option: http://seanys.com/2007/10/12/twitter-wordpress-widget/

Twitter shortcode plugin works like a charm. The shortcode gets the code you are manually pasting in your text widget. So setup the widget colors and heights and put:
[tw]
[tw type="faves" height="100"]
in a text widget. Example
