launching site creates nearly infinite 301 302 redirect loop

Recommended Posts

Can anyone see what's happening here? I've used General Settings to change the Site Address to be the top level of the site. If you try to visit http://www.hytrainium.com, you will notice that it takes FOREVER to load. If you use the network panel in either Chrome inspect element or Firefox's Firebug, you can see that there is a ridiculous 301 302 redirect loop happening. I've cleared my cache, tested in multiple browsers, turned off all plugins... nothing that I do helps. HELP!!!!

Hi Aeverse, What is this URL I'm seeing in Network of Chome "http://www.hytrainium.com/wp-dev/" ?

That's where WP is actually installed. So I currently have the General settings in WP set to: Wordpress address (URL): http://www.hytrainium.com/wp-dev Site address (URL): http://www.hytrainium.com FYI I also just tryed switching to TwentyTen theme and the redirect loop is still there. So, it's clearly not a Pagelines issue... if anyone has any ideas, though, I'd really appreciate it!!!!

You actually need to have those be the same value. If your WP install is http://www.hytrainium.com/wp-dev, then the Site Address should also be http://www.hytrainium.com/wp-dev.

That's what it was before launch. We need to move the site to the top level.... this is what we've done with every other site launch....

I've been informed that this is a WordPress support issue and suggest you check your normal process for something you may have forgotten. Because it is not theme related, I'd direct you to post the issue at http://www.wordpress.org/support
