Why don't color thumbnails show on my carousel page?

Hello, I am attempting to do something very simple and would appreciate some assistance. I am working on a site that needs a carousel at the top of her page highlighting her photography. I thought that using the Carousel and Next Gen Gallery plug-in combination would work. It does, but not for the color photos included in the gallery. All of the bw photos have thumbnails, but the color ones do not. I have tried to change the file size of the photo and re-upload, but to no avail. Any information would be helpful. This is something you set within the NextGEN gallery plugin. It doesn't automatically create thumbnails, you have to tell it to create them. Plus, if the images are too large of a file size, then the thumbnails won't create properly (which will show either an error or a blank a thumbnail in the NextGEN album/gallery page).
