zvelena 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2011 Hello everyone, I am running WP 3.2.1, PlatformPro 1.5.3 with the latest Base child theme, Buddypress 1.5 with BP compatibility pack 1.2. Apart from the css formatting problems, I have another issue: I dont see any buddypress widgets when on Buddypress pages: http://bit.ly/rpE17W My current layout is content | sidebar 1, with the primary sidebar to the right. I have not activated any BP-specific widgets (members, groups...) on the sidebar, but normally on the BP pages I should be able to see the BP profile link as the first widget. Any idea if Buddypress sidebar elements are actually being called on my BP pages, or how I can find out if they are ? I would like to show the BP login link permanently in the right sidebar but don't know how to make a widget out of it. Thank you for your help, Elena
Rob 547 Report post Posted November 25, 2011 Elena, I believe that because of the integration, you need to move the widgets to the sidebars. There should be a BP Login widget in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets that you can simply slide into the sidebar you want. zvelena 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2011 Hm.... I didn't have the "BP Login" widget in my widgets list. What's the reason ? I think BP calls for this widget ONLY in the BP pages like /members, /groups, etc so I would have duplicate Login widgets on those pages. After I installed and reinstalled like 6 times, and tried to clean up the previous installation as thoroughly as possible, I cannot really tell what's wrong as the BP data seems to be persistent in lots of places in the installation and I don't want to clean too much for fear I would break the whole site. I am a bit lost with this. Unfortunately I am not able to check this now as I just lost a harddrive out of 2 on my webserver :S so the link I provided earlier is not working. seems like a busy weekend is coming ! Still pondering between BP and Vanilla, I like BP very much for the social networking capabilities, whereas Vanilla just *works*...
