laurassauer 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 When I try to reply to visitors' comments, my reply box appears black, and no one can read what I've said. Everyone else's appears as normal. How do I fix this? Thanks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

laurassauer 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 http://findcatharsis.com It appears it is not the admin comment box but anytime someone tries to reply as the third responder to a comment. I can't figure out how to change the color scheme to make it not black but white or gray like the other boxes.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kastelic 6 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 Can you post your custom CSS here? I think this might do it:
#commentform textarea {background:white !important;}
Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
laurassauer 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 I'm sorry, I don't know what that means. I am not very tech savvy at all. What would I need to do??? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Jenny 33 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Add kastelic's code to your PlatformPro -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box and save, then refresh your site. ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up. laurassauer 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2011 I tried adding the code, but it didn't work. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rob 547 Report post Posted November 13, 2011 Perhaps. Visit your site, logged in as Admin. That should bring you to the Dashboard. Left side, scroll down, you will see PlatformPro. Click it. An admin panel for PlatformPro appears right of that column. On the left side of that, at the bottom of the list is Custom Code. Click it. Scroll to the top. You'll see CSS Rules. Anywhere under the body {} code You paste the code provided by Kastelic. Now, look right, scroll up just a tad and click the Save button. It's blue usually. Now, go to a comment you know to have been shaded black. Presuming you're on a Windows-based machine, hold the Shift key and press F5. That's called a "Hard Refresh". See if the problem persists. If it does, here's the next step. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and make a list of the ones that are activated. Deactivate all of them. Return to that screen where you saw the shaded form field and do another Hard Refresh. See if it disappears. Still there? Go to Appearances > Themes and activate Twenty Ten theme. Return to the form, refresh again (as described) and see if there's still a problem. Lastly, back to Appearances > Themes, make sure you have PlatformPro 1.5.3 installed and PlatformBase 1.4.1 activated. Check once more. If the problem still exists, let us know. Reactivate the plugins one at a time. After each reactivation, please visit http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins and find the plugin page for that one. If you see it is not cited as compatible with Wordpress 3.2.1, deactivate it and scratch it off your list. Continue with each plugin doing the same thing. Also note, check to make sure others have not cited the plugn as broken on its page at Wordpress.
